A Stroke of Insight
Harvard neuroscientist Jill Bolte Taylor's TED Talk is one of the most watched in TED history; watch, and you'll know why.
In her late 30s, Dr. Bolte Taylor suffered a massive stroke at home in her Boston apartment. While the left hemisphere of her brain told her to get to work, to get help, she also got to experience a complete takeover of the right hemisphere of the brain. That's where she gleaned some real insight into the true nature of being.
"How many brain scientists have the opportunity to study their brain from the inside out?"
We are so inspired by her 20 minute TED Talk, and love that she found a sense of opportunity and positivity from a health crisis. It's inspiration for us all!
Dr. Bolte Taylor has dedicated her life to helping others find their way back from neurological trauma.
